A quick pint with .... Cher!

Here's a treat for you County Clubbers, the first in a new series of mini interviews where we ponder life's random, deep, fun, inspiring questions over a quick pint. Here's what our beloved country club guardian Cher had to say .....

You can give one object (the same object) to everyone in the world. What is it and why?

My first thought was a smile but that's not an object. My second thought was a condom. Ahhh ha ha. I read the SAS survival handbook in my teens and their uses always stuck in my mind.

What long-lost childhood procession of yours would you like to own again?
My mother gave me an old soft toy called Green before my dad took me to the states. He later sold it in a garage sale. I know it sounds silly but I still have Polo and Little Ted from as far back as I can remember I wish I still had Green as well.

If someone gave you the power to save just one animal species on earth, which would it be?

Man from themselves! Stop the greed and money loving and learn to respect the planet.

If your home was on fire and you did not have to worry about saving any of the five P's (people, pets, photos, papers, prescriptions), what one item would you choose to save?

Oh that's easy, my vinyl / music!

If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpower to be?

I'd like the power to heal.

Where would you go in a time travel machine? Would you stay?

I'd be quite interested in visiting all the key points in history to see how true the written word is compared to what actually happened.

What do you think is at the edge/end of the universe?

I don't believe there is an edge. I think there is just positive and negative energies that continue forever.

If you could have one new talent imparted on you such that you could perfectly perform it, what would it be?

I'd live as a comedian. It would be great to always make people laugh!

If you knew tomorrow was your last day on Earth how would you spend it?

I'd wanna spend it with my kids but without them knowing so we could have a great time with no morbidity oh and I'd write a will!

What movie, no matter how many times you’ve seen it, do you have to watch when it’s on?

Pretty much any Robin Williams film and I love the Matrix films.

When was the last time you lost your temper? What was it that made you angry?

Racist bigoted wankers make me angry. When did I loose my temper last... It's not often I loose my temper. I mostly lose it with myself when I can't do something or YES when people say they're gonna do something and don't that annoys me, oh and hypocritical people!

What are the things that stand between you and complete happiness?

I've lived a lot of lives already and really am quite happy with my life now. There's always going to be things we want but I have all the things I need. A fantastic bunch of friends, two beautiful sons who I'm so very proud of and I make just enough money to get by. I guess to see all the people I know being truly happy and healthy would bring complete happiness.

What have you done that you’re most proud to have achieved?

My children! Finally starting to get my business where I want it and of course the very first Country Club Reunion, knowing that although Clive wasn't there he was able to see and know the love and respect we all have for him before he died.

Big thanks to Cher for taking time out of her busy day to come and have a quick pint.
